Maia’s book – The Seven Sisters

Pa Salt once told Maia that in the next 30 years, the world’s economic power is going to radically shift. “You could learn a language further away”.  Portuguese and Russian they land on, and he is happy (because she is from Brazil). The world is changing, and you will be at the vanguard of it.

Georg only arrived on Atlantis right before sunset. Apparently, pa salt was specific about the timing of his arrival. Because of how the armillary sphere would look?

Zed calls Maia a few days after pa salt had died, telling her he found out yesterday from a sailor friend of his that pa salt had died (June 2007). Zed had to travel to Geneva in the coming days. Why?

Isabela would inherit a number of coffee farms with Gustavo from her father. Her father bought another two in 1929 after they had married.

Belle’s dad gave her the deeds of the fazenda but mentions a small complication: a husband normally gets the legal rights to any properties his wife owns. Mother insisted it to be hers alone, so her dad set up a trust in her name, to be administered by his lawyer and include the fazenda and her rights to any income the fazenda earns plus the right to live in it until her death. Clause: automatically transfers the fund to any children she must have.

October 1929, Wall Street and mass selling of stocks. Last month Mauricio sold his stocks. Talk about recession, crash. Impact on coffee industry. Demand is going to fall.

Letter from Maria l, worked the past year in the hospital in Paris. Marida was still in Paris in the artistic environment.

Beatrix’s husband was a talented pianist. He is Maias grandfather.

Beatrix gave the moonstone necklace to her daughter Cristina on her 18th birthday.

Did Beatrix know Pa Salt via school or Laurent? From her time in Paris maybe? Who is the female friend she talks about that worked as a volunteer at the orphanages in Rio? That happened to be there when Christina brought Maia in? Maia was adopted within a week even though it usually took a lot longer. Beatrix volunteer friend saw her adopted father and the woman he came with to collect her.

Laurent was her professor in Paris at beaux des arts. Took her to his beautiful home in Montparnasse and to Landowski, introducing her to him.  Years afterwards they kept in touch, until his death in 1965.

Maia asked Georg why Pa Salt chose her. He did not know. What was Pa Salt’s connection to Brazil? He answers that on a personal note he did not. In the last book he gets very emotional because merry looks like someone he knows.

Ally’s book – The Storm Sister

The day before she learned Pa Salt died, she was at an island with Theo in Greece.

Theo has a small frame. Not much muscle. Broke his ankle when he was a child. Never mended correctly.  Lack of physical stature. Small posture, but strong. Green eyes. Hazel freckled.

At Naxos, two weeks before Pa Salt dies, after dinner whilst walking home, Theo suddenly halted smelling the air and looking up at the starts at the harbor where fishing boats and yachts were lying. Is it possible he saw a yacht he knew (Kreeg’s) or Pa Salts yacht? Was this why he suddenly stopped?

His boat is named Neptune, a sun seeker, bought a couple of years ago when the owner went bankrupt. He lived on it for the last year. Just bought a place, which needed remodeling.

Ally studied the flute, which Elle also played.

Theo ask Ally to tell him about her sisters and the house they live in on Lake Geneva. But I don’t think she told him about this earlier?

Theo was once accused of sexual harassment by another female member of his crew.

On their second night she told Theo about Pa Salt and her sisters. He then asked her if he took care of them all by himself. When she told him about ma. Pa salt spoke to them in English. Ma French. He then asks if her Pa ever told her about WHY he adopted them all.   

He then says it’s like a tale, the rich benefactor who adopts six orphans. Why all girls?
So, your full name is Alcyone?
Why are there only six of you, when it should be seven of you to match the mythology?

Tell me about this incredible father of yours. What does he do for a living?
Were you close to him?

The morning after she told him about pa salt, his boat and her sisters, when they were going to sail to Mykonos for some supplies, Theo had spoken to a sailor friend on a catamaran who told them to go to delos for a drink later. His friend had told him there was a super yacht called the titan moored right by him. So that he could not miss him. His friend’s name was Andy. He also said another floating palace was approaching him (Andy).

You can call him when we get closer. Would be embarrassing if it were a Russian oligarch. Theo then asked if pa salt ever rented it out. Which she declined.

He then asks ally to go above to look whether it is the titan, and that when she confirms, he can send out a radio message to the titan.
20 min later she saw it was the boat. Gave Theo a thumbs up through the window. He picked up the radio. Then she went to freshen up.
When she returned Theo said he had not gotten a reply (was this maybe not true?)
Theo then looked at the other boat and confirmed he knew the owner, Olympus and belong to Kreeg Eszu. The owner of lighting communications which sponsored a few of the boats he had captained. Met a few times. Sat next to him at dinner. Then talked about Zed being a spoiled brat, eyes full of anger. He then talks about a female friend of his getting involved and that he treated her like dirt.

He then asked ally to put out a message to titan, but there was no reply and it left. She then went to get her phone, which was empty.   

They were chasing the titan but it was not possible to catch up with it. Titan was going at full blast. Theo gave her his phone and she called pa salt’s number. Got a voicemail.

“Maybe he does not want to be seen right now.”
Pa salt always insisted on the radio being on. Hans also would stay close. Is it possible that Theo spoke to Pa Salt? Maybe he was not allowed to tell Ally?

She only looked at her phone the day after the titan sped away in the morning.
Multiple distressed messages from her sisters. CeCe then said Pa Salt had died in the most recent voicemail.

Theo then goes to arrange for her to get home.

13:30, Theo has checked the flights etc. Athens to Geneva tomorrow morning.

Day after she flew. In the plane she read that Kreeg was found dead.

Maia said they had tried to contact her for the last two days when she arrived at Atlantis.
She tells ally that pa salt had a heart attack three days ago.
Body was flown to the titan and sailed out to the sea. So basically, Ally had seen his funeral.
Why? What could be the reason?

Ma said Georg would come but first wanted to see her, she did not know why.

Ally told Maia only that she had seen Kreeg’s boat next to the titan. Maia looked really upset. Then asked ally to forget about that.

Tiggy suggested the cruise already then.

When the girls meet with Georg, Marina excused herself.

Georg got the letters 6 weeks before the sisters gathered at Atlantis

Ally travelled the world with Ellen and Marielle. Coincidence that they both have Elle in their names?

Travelled through turkey on hired mopeds.  They had an accident, ally called pa salt and 30 min later there was a helicopter there with a paramedic.

Theo is 35 in 2007. He is especially interested in Pa Salt and her sisters. He studied classics at oxford and knows about Greek mythology. He played around with ally’s last name. “Ally it’s the Greek name of the stat cluster that contains the seven-sister star cluster”. 

Pa salt had multiple companies. He had spoken a lot to them about stars. Showed ally how to use the starts and the seven sisters as navigation.

Theo’s mother in England and father in America. They got divorced when he was young. He spent holidays in America.

Ally surprised ma at Atlantis, freshly baked lemon cake on the counter. Even though Claudia was not in the kitchen. She then goes to pa salts office. Ma is suddenly there.
Maia is also there (returned from Brazil). Sensed ma being tense. Because she had not expected visit?

Office pa salt: Dante, Dickens, Shakespeare etc
Sophisticated computers and electronic equipment

Theos mother grew up in the English country side. Blonde, blue eyes like an English rose. Tried to recreate her rose garden in London.
She taught his sailing. His father had a string of affairs.

Race in august: 12th, delayed. If I tell you to get off the boat. Did he know something was going to happen? Maybe Pa Salt told him if he knew somehow? Did they speak when he tried to radio call the titan? Would she too die if he did not tell her to get off?

Anna is described to look like the woman in the charcoal drawing, Merry’s mother (Elle).
Heart shaped face, curly hair. Could Elle be related to all the sisters somehow?

Jens lived in an apartment in Paris and took lessons from Augustus Terron. Baroness von Gottfried introduced him to everyone.

Horst (Anna and Grieg’s son) went to study in Paris. When was this? Did he meet anyone from the other books?

1936, Pip went to Leipzig. November 1936 the story start. He had then been there for 2,5 years.

Karine started a year after Pip. Played Oboe.

Elle and Karine were in Leipzig since start of term in 1935. Bo aka Pa Salt was a second-year music student like pip. Did he start in 1934? Does this mean he left Paris in 1934? I think he and Elle met in Paris during their studies there. He stayed with Landowski (according to the backside of Atlas). They probably went to Leipzig together.

The seven-sister waterfall was Karine’s favorite sight they visited in 1938.

How did Pa Salt get Grieg’s frog? Could Pip have given it to him when Bo aka Pa Salt and Elle left Norway for Scotland during WW2? For good luck?

Ally told Marina about the hero concert. Did she tell Pa Salt? And did he go to see it because of his history with Karine (who it was dedicated to) and pip?

Once the show had ended, star stayed behind in the room where the concert had taken place. Sitting alone.
Star sees a figure looking like pa salt. She stood up and ran through the auditorium, running out the back exit searching. Stood in the street, but he had disappeared.

Right before, ma and star went to the bar in the interval, and ma said she wished her other sisters could have seen ally preform. And pa salt of course. Then she looked concerned, furrowing her brow. Star thought of what secrets she could be hiding. Did she know that Pa Salt would be there and was worries he would be seen by anyone.

Does this prove he was still alive in December 2007?

Star’s Story – The Shadow Sister

The girls are English and French spoken, as Pa Salt insisted on it.

Star got a book from Pa Salt about Anastasia, a princess in the woods in Russia. CeCe thought she looked like Star. 

Ma is French, Claudia speaks with a German accent. 

In her letter from Pa Salt, Star finds a black panther, with amber jewels in the eyes. It used to belong to Flora. How did Pa Salt get this? Star showed it to Orlando as one of the clues she had got from Pa Salt to find out where she came from. 

Beatrix used to be a neighbor of Flora in the lake district. 

Orlando’s father used to own the bookshop before, studied classics at oxford. Did Pa Salt know him? 

High weald, in Kent, is 5 miles from Ashford. Vita Sackville west, garden of England is also in Kent. Star visited this once on a school trip. 

Marguerite Vaughan, very tall, Orlando’s cousin. Large dark eyes, almost violet in color. Early 40’s. Thick dark wavy hair. Roman nose. She is an artist. Teddy is her grandfather. 

Flora, the sister of Orlando’s great grandmother. 

The Vaughans (Archies’s parents) has a house in London in the neighboring square of Flora’s aunt charlotte’s house in Mayfair (Grosvenor square). Portman square in Marylebone is close to Grosvenor square. It is also where Alice Keppel lives. Berkeley square is where archie’s family house is in London. 

Archie, brown eyes, chiseled features. Wavy hair. Dimples. His father died in the Boer war. 7 years before he visits flora on east Waithe Hall. In 1909 he is 21.

Was on tour in Europe, saw a lot of artists and their pains.  Passionate about gardening and plants. 

Flora’s father went on annual shooting holiday with cousins in the highlands in Scotland. Archie was there with him too.

Archie looks at flora’s charcoal sketches. Very impressed. 

Beatrix, lives near Sawry, close to the public house Archie was staying when he visited Flora?

Beatrix knew Mrs. Keppel and her connections. 

Aurelia stayed at 4 Grosvenor square in London during her debut in 1909.

In 1909, flora went to London to stay with Mrs. Keppel when east Waithe was sold. Rose and Allistair went to Scotland. Aurelia stayed at high weald. Beatrix took care of her animals. 

Alice Keppel lived in portman square. Two daughters: violet (15) and Sonia. Looks very different to each other. Violet and Vita are in love. 

Alice: Auburn hair, curls. Bright blue eyes. 

Flora got her mother’s pearl necklace in 1909. Rose had got it from her own mother when she debuted. 

Archie comes to Mrs. Keppel’s house. Mrs. Keppel had a collection of Faberge eggs. He compliments her for them. Then excuses herself. She knows archies mother. 

Flora forces Archie to propose to her sister. 

Bertie, the king, is Flora’s father. Blue eyes. Scotland is his favorite place. Floras paternal grandparents also used to live there. He is very tall! Even taller than Flora. 

1909 flora is not able to capture humans with her drawings. But we still believe she drew the charcoal drawing of Elle that hangs in Pa Salts bedroom? Must have been made 30 years later, during WW2, so maybe she learned it by then?

Mrs. Keppel knows about flora and archies feelings in 1909 before he married aurelia. Mrs. Keppel is aware of floras feelings, tells her that her secret is safe with her. Flora told her about her feelings and all that had happened. “You are not the first to send the man they love into the arms of another because you think it’s for the better”. She says she too dis the same before she was married to George or met Bertie.

Mrs. Keppel had a place in Kent. 

Flora attended a dance at Devonshire house in 1909. 

The Keppel’s were not invited to the wedding of Archie and Aurelia. 

Freddie Soames and Flora rumored having a relationship. But she feels nothing about him. Distant cousin to the Vaughans. Once removed. Very sought after. 25 years old in December 1909.  

Archie kissed Flora during the wedding to her sister. Freddie viscount Soames saw this. “Secret is safe with me”. “Marry me, otherwise I might not believe it was not you I saw.” She agrees to marry him. 

Celebrated Christmas with Keppel’s in Dorset in 1909, then she got the Faberge figurine from Bertie. Freddie and his parents came on boxing day. Daphne was Freddie’s mother, good friend of Alice. 

Floras Grandparents were the Beachamp’s (mothers’ side) had refused the invitation to her wedding with Freddie. 

Alice wants to take flora on their annual trip to Biarritz. They stay at the Villa Eugene, and Bertie in Hotel de Palais before her wedding to Freddie. They left a week earlier to stay in Paris. 1910. They would be the guests of Sir Earnest Cassel who was the chief financial advisor of the king. 

March 1910, Mr. Ralph at Portman square gave Aurelia Flora’s address. Told her in a letter she is expecting a baby. 

In Biarritz, Flora meets a man that could be the king’s twin. He does not introduce himself. But thanks flora for being there for the king. Earnest Cassel. 

In 1910, Aurelia found out about Flora and Archie via the letter Flora wrote to archie, warning him Aurelia knew about his visit to east Waithe Hall. She also saw Archie holding Flora’s hand in the garden. She never wants to see Flora again. 

The king Bertie died shortly afterwards. And the Keppel’s went to stay on Grafton Street. 

Countess of Winchester (Freddie’s mother daphne) came to visit her the day after. Wedding has to be postponed due to this, actually it can never take place. When Flora asks her why, she says because of who you are. Because of Mrs. Keppel and because she is his daughter (but she does not know this yet). 

Earnest Cassel come visit her after the king died. Told her the king was her father. She got an inheritance and went to the Lake District. 

Bought a small farm close to near Sawry after staying with Beatrix. Beatrix had saved her. Closest and only friend. Told her the whole story, Beatrix had begged her to tell her sister aurelia where she was and to ask after both of them. “War changes everything”. 

Flora’s father had died during the war. Her mother had abandoned her when the king died, and she had left the highlands to go abroad, nobody seemed to know where to. 

February 1919: Beatrix had recently had bronchitis. So flora went to visit her in the house she had bought after marrying her husband, a solicitor. Lost nobody close in the great war which had just ended in November. 16th of February, suddenly remembering it was her (floras) 29th birthday. 

Beatrix sometimes returned to London. Thought Flora should maybe too. William and Beatrix had talked about worrying about Flora just a few days before. Still young and beautiful. Beatrix Suggesting her to contact her family (Aurelia). Her friend did not usually act so emotional. It troubled Beatrix deeply.

June 1919, 4 months later, Beatrix visited Flora. Panther had died, which surprised Beatrix. “I feel alone without him”. Beatrix left Flora and took out the letter she had received a few days ago. Its content made her cry, despite all the horror experienced during the war. Discussed the situation with William, she had gone to Flora to discuss the situation with her, but due to panthers’ death she did not. William thinks she should decide for Flora (about Teddy). 

A week later, Beatrix brings her Teddy. 2 weeks old. Tells Flora he was brought into the local hospital after he was born. A neighbor heard his cries from the neighboring house up at black fell. Mother had passed away after the birth. Cord not yet broken. Brought to the hospital. Heavy and strong. Big blue eyes. Blonde hair.  Father a Shepard sent to fight in France 3 years ago, his last leave was in august 1918 and soon after he returned, he passed at a battle, just before November. Is this true? I do not think so. I believe someone entirely different must be Teddy’s parents and that this will play an important role in Atlas. No relatives, mother from Kessick and named Jane. Beatrix kept visiting the hospital where she saw many sick children, he was recovering well. She said the hospital had written to her to inquire locally for a place for him to stay. Of no home, he will be sent to a terrible orphanage in Liverpool. He is known as Teddy because all the nurses want to cuddle him. Huge eyes. Flora later pulled out the letter from Bertie (Edward) and made the connection to Teddy. And laughed. Of course. of course.

Did Beatrix make up his name? 

Teddy: Not a content baby. Only at peace when next to her. Was he possibly a twin?

Could Elle be his twin sister or brother? Elle growing up in Paris and Teddy taken back to England?

Looks like Aurelia, Elle and Star. Big blue eyes, blonde. 

Louise looks like archie, dark. 

July 1919: Archie visits Flora. He tells her family has known about her whereabouts for years. Rose was informed and told aurelia. Aurelia watched over you from a distance. He is there because Aurelia wanted to make amends. When their child was born in June 1919. Aurelias first thought was to write to Flora. Aurelia died 3 weeks ago, 10 days after giving birth. Aurelia had clear blue eyes. 

Archie was away a lot during the war. Kept trying for a baby but they never managed. Then suddenly they did. Aurelias last request was for Archie to go to flora and give her a letter. She wanted to make amends. 

16th of June 1919, date of the letter. Her baby is born. Asking her to move to high weald to take care of her daughter and archie. Aurelia says she had learned over time that we cannot help who we love. Could this mean that archie is actually not the father of their child? Could Aurelia have loved another? Or simply that she understood that Archie actually loved Flora?

Archie did not seem to know about Teddy. Flora says he had lived with her for just under a month.

Flora placed Teddy with Louise at night. He cried a lot. Sarah took over one night and put Teddy in the same bassinet as Louise. “He just like company”. Does this underline the theory of him being an actual twin? She used to do the same with Aurelia and Flora. They look like twins. “Maybe it was all meant to be” 

Flora told Beatrix about archie visiting her and Aurelias letter. She tells her she must go.

Archie had forgotten to register Louise’s birth. He decided to register both children on the day Louise was born. Making them legal twins.

Flora and Archie married on Christmas 1920. 

Louise, gentle and sweet. Sharp intelligence, dark brown eyes. 

Teddy more volatile. Adventurous. 

When they reached the age of 10, in 1929, Flora felt like a fraud for not telling them who their mother was and that they were not twins. They decided to tell them about aurelia, their real mother. 

When Teddy was 13, he was sent to charter house. Started to rebel. 

December 1943: a year ago, the land girls had come to help on the farm as the men were fighting. Rose was visiting often. Teddy had flat feet, so he could not join the army. Teddy went to oxford but was sent down due to bad behavior. Difficult to take orders. Tall, strong built. Almost 25 years. 

Archie worked at the air ministry. In London. Now moved to Ashford air base. Canadian, American and British squadrons were placed there. A number of dances etc. with the land girls. When Flora asks about his role, he just says that something big is coming and that he is helping with flying rotas and the like + strategy. Could he have been working in intelligence?

Teddy went to pick up Rose on Christmas 1943. 

Mrs. Tanit (we believe Elle) and Flora work together in the kitchen. Mr. Tanit (we believe Pa Salt) found some meat in the village. Grateful for the couple. He drove and helped in the garden. Tended to the animals. 

Winter February 1944: letter from William, Beatrix husband. Beatrix left Flora a letter and bequest in her will. 20 June 1942 is when she wrote the letter. She gives her the bookshop in London, that b had bought a few years ago when the family was struggling financially. Closed at the beginning of the war due to staff shortages. Still closed. Survived the war.

Rupert studied at Oxford. Classics. Bookish type. Begged to join flora to the bookshop. Fascinated by the story from Beatrix owning it. From a good family, but no income. He and Louise could move into home farm. 

May 1944: Louise tells Flora about Tessie being pregnant with teddys child. If teddys child is boy, he would be the heir to high weald. What if Tessie got twins? Maybe the boy was Eddie who we meet in CeCe’s story? He would then be the heir to high weald. Teddie from east end in London. Parents lived in hackney. Tessie had large blue eyes. Paid her to leave, in return she wants an occasional image of the baby and het silence. 

Mr. Tanit drove Tessie to Ashford station.

How did Pa Salt get Flora’s panther? Did she give it to Mr. and Mrs. Tanit when they left high weald?

Flora had taken interest in stocks and shares, earning her a lot of money from the inheritance she got from her father.

London house, Teddy takes ownership of as of archies death. Then went to london. 

June 1944: flora gave the bookshop to rupert and louise. 

Teddy marries dixie. Louise says she and the whole london knows of her. Irish, bohemian. Not a good reputation. 

August 1944: Flora liked Dixie, bright. Loud opinion on the Irish situation, and the war. Shared her insider knowledge of Churchills depressive personality. 

Late autumn, 1944, she said goodbye to high weald. She bought the farmland from Teddy. 

Flora did the books for the bookstore and was there for dixie and teddy to being up their son Micheal. Michael was Marguerite’s father.  Flora Died in her late 70s. Under the rose Arbour Pa Salt (or Mr. Tanit) had built. 

Orlando hid Floras journals in the bookshop. He knows the real story, he read it all whilst young. He kept them from Mouse as he felt it would have been upsetting for him. 

The story told does not contain all details, journals do. 

Mouse’s father Lawrence died two years after Annie, in Greece. He was Rupert and Louise’s son? 

Why did star get the Faberge cat? Orlando thinks it was because it would link her to the Vaughan line. So, they need to look to Teddy’s line. The coordinated placed her had been born in London, hackney (east end). 

Next door to the bookshop, there was an Anique art dealer. They want to buy the shop in 2007. Japanese.

Orlando had done some investigation on star’s behalf in November 2007, since she showed him her Faberge cat. 

Gave star an envelope which included the truth of her birth. 

21 April 1980, mother hospital in hackney. Mother: Petula Brown. Father? 

Lucy charlotte was Star’s given name. 

August 1962: Petula (Patricia’s daughter) Father Alfred brown. Tessie died 1975. Patricia this year. No record of Petula Brown. Wrote to the national archive to find out. She changed her name, to sylvia gray. Professor in Russian literature at yale uni. Where she met Robert. 

Her mother looked exactly like star. 

Lived a year in Russia. 

Marguerite found love in France in 2007.

Star called ma in November 2007. Line went to voicemail. Where was she? 

Mouse went to Cambridge to listen to Sylvia’s lecture. She begged to come with him to meet Star at high weald. Her mother Patricia had lied, telling her star had died. Patricia died a few weeks ago and left her a letter telling sylvia the truth. She said the doctor had given star to the priest at the church who had taken her to an orphanage in the east end. But when sylvia went there, only two days ago, they said they had no record of her. No baby had come in during that period or two weeks later.  But this is probably not true. 

Coordinates pointed to Patricia’s address. Not to the orphanage. Perhaps a private adoption.  How did Pa Salt end up here in 1980? 

Vita Sackville west was the Neighbour of high weald.  

December 2007: Cece could not join star to see ally in Norway as this was when she left for Australia.

Mouse took star to Estwaite hall, which had recently been turned into a hotel. 

Mouse had checked the Faberge cat at Sotheby’s, and it was a real one commissioned by king Edward 7th. 

How did pa salt get it? 

Mouse said Teddy pawned most of the family treasures. Star is teddys great grandchild. Did Flora give the figurine to Tessie or her daughter Louise instead at some point? 

Archie stayed at the tower back arms, the local pub when visiting flora. 

Cece: Heathrow airport. Walking towards departure gate. December 2007. 

Pa salt walked past her. But he was walking away, opposite the direction of CeCe. She ran after. But lost him. 

CeCe’s story – The Pearl Sister

December 2007, CeCe travels to Thailand after learning about Pa Salt’s death. 

The north star, star of Bethlehem. Polaris. The armillary sphere points to this. CeCe also says she used to look up at it around Christmas. 

In Switzerland, it was high on the sky every night. Harder to see the further south you went.

Kitty and her sisters also used to look for the star of Bethlehem in Scotland. 

Christmas 2007, CeCe calls Atlantis. Hears a loud cough in the background. Ma says its Claudia or Christian. That can be Pa Salt? Potentially sick? CeCe also say she saw him walking the other way on the airport when she flew to Australia in December. She tells ma this during that call. Ma says oh Cherie, sighting loudly. «Maybe you all did, but not in reality. Or at least not the reality as we know it» Does she say this because she cannot tell her he is still alive? 

Ace hides in a «friends» house in Thailand. Who is this friend?

Ace usually live on the river in Battersea in London. This is close to where CeCe and Star lived in 2007.

Ace mentions he had been on business in Australia.

With New Years last year (2006-2007) he had been at a party in a club in St. Tropez. He came in by boat. He thought it was great. «I did some really stupid things when I was boozing»  Did he do anything for Kreeg or maybe Zed? Was he with him in St. Tropez? 

Past 2,5 months he did not drink anymore. 

“I lost about everything in the past few months. Nobody to blame than myself.”

Ace cannot tell anyone what happened, for all sorts of reasons, including legal. Only Linda knows the truth. 

Star tells CeCe about Ace, the rough trader that broke Bernes bank and then disappeared from the face of the earth. Illegal trading/fraud in the UK. When discovered he had already left the UK. Intelligence services all over the world have been looking for him. 

What if Pa Salt worked in intelligence as of WW2, and he was on Kreeg or Zed for running illegal trade of some sort?

Harry W said on an interview that we will not see Ace back in Atlas, but something to do with him. So, will it be more on the fraud? 

In the newspaper: Ace was notorious. Conducted fraudulent trading. Gambled away an immense sum. Ran away the minute it was discovered in November 2007. He was the most wanted man in the banking world. Bangkok post mentioned that UK wanted him delivered by Thailand. 

Berners bank, one of the oldest, was recently bought for 1 pound by a Chinese investment bank at the end of 2007. UK investors are furious as they lost their funds. Many had their pensions invested in funds ran by Berner and had lost their funds. David Rutter was Berners bank CEO. Fraud and document forgery had been conducted. 

Ace pleaded guilty to all charges. His trial was scheduled for May 2008.

February 2008: star encourages CeCe to try to find out the truth about Ace and Linda. 

Linda Potter was David Rutter’s personal assistant. 

She recently retired (actually she was let go as she knew too much). 

Linda lives in Kent, Ashford, close to Star. 

She knows everything about Ace. He was like a son for her. «Adnan did not want to be a trader, but David ruled his world». Ace was in awe to David; he would have done everything for him. He is his father. Ace his illegimate child. Nobody knows because David is afraid of his reputation. He also had another child already with his wife. David prided himself as a perfect English family man. 

Ace was very successful, became the best trader within two years. Ace then had a run of bad luck and panicked. Linda suspected he started the fraud then. Linda believes David knows what Ace did, potentially giving him cash to disappear in Thailand. Linda was ordered to stay away from ace by David. was the friend Ace talked about owning the house actually David? Or someone he had worked together with? Such as potentially the Eszu’s?

David had endless affairs, and he only wanted the best of all. He bought the cursed Roseate pearl.

CeCe thinks ace is protecting David saying: «Irrelevant if David knew».

1906: Kitty McBride is sent off to Australia after she learns about her father and his pregnant mistress.

Kitty meets English Clara Duggan from East end on the boat to Australia when she was 18. Clara had hazel eyes and dark curly hair. She was going to Sydney. Her brother Alfie is already in Australia. 

Once in Australia, Kitty is having a Christmas dinner and spoke to a German man, who spoke perfect English. Brewing business and wine yards in the Adelaide hills. 

Andrew Mercer was an excellent opera singer. He has an identical twin brother named Drummond.

Edith Mercer, Drummond and Andrew’s mother told Kitty that her father and her had met in the past, and that they were smitten by each other. She was mad at Ralph (Kitty’s father) because he left her high and dry.

Broome 1912, Kitty asked for a list of those that lost their relatives on the sunken ship that took Andrew’s life. Many Irish and Scottish settlers were on it. Pa salt later looks for relatives at kitty’s house in Broome when CeCe is born in the 1980’s. What is the connection? Who was he looking for?

Drummond left the boat before it sunk to pick up the Roseate Pearl for Andrew. Camira knew it was cursed and went to bury it so that Kitty would never own it (as all those who had died).

Drummond pretended he was Andrew, and Kitty sent him away as a result as she could not lie.

1929, Charlie turns 21. he got a watch from his mother from a Swiss Jewler. Elise Forsythe, extraordinary and pretty, well bread lady, was about to arrive in Broome. One of the best families in Broome. Elise would become Charlie’s secretary. Kitty had handpicked her for matching with Charlie as the head of the mercer empire. English pretty. Her grandfather hails from Scotland. Dimples. A hon, or an aristocrat. Blonde, pale skin. Beight, witty and pretty. 

Ted, Charlie’s friend, had studied classics, travelled a lot. Charlie got cat a present after he saw it at ted’s house. He was an obsessional collector of stones shells etc. this present was a small gleaming amber stone with something that appeared as a minuscule ant trapped inside. Ted had given it to him and Charlie had it fashioned as an engagement ring. Ted was studying aboriginals. He knows about Cat and Charlie. Is he important?

Cat fell pregnant from Charlie and dreamt about the location where Camira had buried the roseate pearl and went to get it. She died as a result.

A month after Charlies 21st birthday, Kitty left him in charge of the pearling business and went to Scotland, she was there for 5 years before as well on a brief visit. She was back by Christmas, to spend it in Adelaide. Mr. Donovan would help Charlie whilst she was away. He would turn 60 this year. He had left Ireland during the potato famine. Wishes to retire, had a Japanese in mind to take over.  

June 1929, Drummond found Charlie and Cat’s baby. They headed towards Hermansburg. When he lifted the baby out, he saw the blue eyes, recognizing the shape and expressions.

Drummond told Camira, she went to Hermansburg to take care of the baby, Francis, which is CeCe’s grandfather. 

Charlie Mercer was tall and blonde. Strong features with blue eyes. Lived in Broome, Kitty moved to Alicia Hall, Adeleide.

1942, Charlie died in an attack. Elise had survived, 6 months later, she married another mining magnate and moved to perth. 

1946, Ralph McKenzie (kitty’s half-brother) came demanding to see Kitty in Adeleide. Tall man. Looking like their father. Blue eyes, auburn hair, thick jaw. His mother had told him that Kitty helped her before leaving for Australia in 1906. He told his mum he was going to Australia to look for a better life, then his mother gave him kittys addres.  She hired him. 18 years younger than her.

In 1949, Kitty transferred all the businesses to her little brother Ralph. 

We meet Sarah on the boat to Australia in 1949, she is one of the orphans from East End in London. Later Francis’s wife and Cece’s grandma.

Tilbury port, England, January 1949. Is pa salt on the boat? Looking for Elle? Kitty was going back to Australia for the last time. She had been in Leith and Italy for the past 6 months. She was now planning on staying in Scotland for the summers and Italy in the winter. 

On the boat: 

James told Kitty about the orphans on third class. Looking for new families in Australia. Eddie, about 5. Sarah, sallow skin and dark hair, 15 years approx. around 1934. Could there be a connection between Star and CeCe via Sarah or Eddie? Star’s mother (Tessie and Teddy Vaughan’s child) was also from East End. What if Tessie actually gave birth to two children and the other was Eddie? More on that theory here.

Kitty helped the orphans with Sarah. Sarah wants to sew hankies to a friend of hers cries a lot. Is the man that cries a lot Pa Salt? 

Eddie and Sarah rung the door at Kitty’s home soon after arriving in Adelaide. They were not chosen by anyone when they arrived, so they were taken to an orphanage. 

Sarah goes with Kitty to Alice Springs. Eddie stays with Ralph and his wife Ruth in Adelaide. Kitty meets Drummond there.

Drummond brought her and Sarah to Hermansburg. The pastor, short, bulky man with horn brimmed glasses, German, inform then about a burglary that happened recently and that the tin case with the roseate pearl was stolen. 

Sarah stayed at Hermansburg with Francis. Kitty and Drummond went to Europe. Made their home in Florence.

1978, when Kitty died she left the apartment in Florence to Francis, who sold it and bought a house in Australia. A trust was left for Elizabeth, CeCe’s mother. 

Ralph and Ruth adopted Eddie. Stayed at Alicia Hall.

Sarah kept in touch with Eddie. Bright, became a successful barrister. Retired in 2007. Still lives in Adelaide. 

Elizabeth was CeCe’s mum. She left home with Toba after Francis and Sarah asked them to not keep the baby she carried. For years they looked for her.

In 2006, Sarah got ill and asked Francis to look one last time. He engaged a private detective, and 6 months after Sarah’s death he got a call from a nurse in the hospital, saying she was present at the birth of CeCe in Broome. She knew Elisabeth’s name. Kitty had left the Broome house to Elisabeth. She died 7 days after CeCe was born in 1980. Nurse told Francis that they kept CeCe for as long as they could after her mother had died. Hoping they could find someone to adopt her. After a few months they were preparing to hand her over to an orphanage. Just as the papers were processed, she said that a man in expensive clothes turned up at the hospital. He had come to Broome to look for a relative. But had found the house in question empty. A neighbor had informed him that the former owner had died, but that a young girl had lived there for a few weeks. And that she had been pregnant, so he should try the hospital. When the nurse met the man and told him Elisabeth had died and left CeCe behind, he offered to adopt her on the spot. The woman could not remember his name. He suggested he took her back to Europe with him and finalized any adoptive case there. The man left her a name of a lawyer in Switzerland, Mr. Georg Hoffman. So again, who was Pa Salt looking for?

Pa salt travelled a lot. All babies were a surprise to Ma. Especially CeCe as she came so quick after star.  

Ma said «the kindness of strangers» when visiting CeCe in London in 2008 before she left for Australia. 

Tiggy’s story – The Moon Sister

November 2007, Tiggy is telling Charlie about Pa Salts death. Charlie Kinnaird tells Tiggy about his father, who died recently. Kinnaird estate is in the highlands, Scotland. 

Did Archie and Flora’s fathers not go to the highlands to hunt? Could they have gone to Kinnaird? So, the families knew each other? Charlie tells Tiggy that his father used Kinnaird as his personal playground for years. Hunting, shooting and fishing and drinking. His father and numerous relatives before were happy to take money from the loggers for ship building in the last century. Stripping the estate from pine forest. Charlie wants to restore it. 

November 2007, Tiggy tells she had learned to keep her mouth shut when she knew things. Just like she knew Pa Salt was not dead. 

Does this confirm that he is not (yet) dead?

Cal McKenzie, his whole family always worked at inverness. Is there a link with the McKenzie’s in CeCe/Kitty’s family? 

Beryl, the housekeeper that works at Kinnaird. Has hawklike features, blonde hair and blue eyes. There is a certain authority about her. 

Christmas 2007, none of the sisters were going to Atlantis. 

Wife of Charly, tall, blonde, Claudia Shiffer lookalike. Erika. Blue eyes.

Fiona, the local vet. Son: green, grey eyes, tall, broad shouldered. She shares a last name with Jock, Merry’s husband.

Question: Tiggy calls sort of hysterical to either Ally or Maia in their stories, when was this? Could this be the moment Pa Salt died? It is not mentioned in Tiggy’s story.

Fraser came back to Kinniard at Christmas “to surprise his old mum”. He lived in Canada. 

Hogmanay 2007: Zed and his friends checks in to Kinnaird. They are the first paying visitors. 

Zed Eszu, billionaire with influence. 5 men, 3 women. Expensive clothes and jewelry.  Spoke English together. German and French accents. Zed is shorter than average, green eyes, unusually deep set, aquiline features and dark blonde hair. 

He asks Tiggys name, and if its Scottish. Pointing out it being unusual. Fleet of recognition on his face when she explained her name and origin. He was oddly interested in knowing about her. Are you sure we have not met before? Zed asks. 

She felt his eyes had followed her the whole night. Slight German accent. 

Zed had never been to Scotland. He said “Last few months have been hectic” let out a deep sight. I assume he is referring to his father dying and him having to take over everything.

Zed wanted Tiggy to give him a tour of the estate. Insisted on her doing it. 

Zed spoke German but grew up learning French and Russian. Does it mean his mother was French? Or maybe Russian? Maybe they were born by Russian immigrants that had fled to Paris?

Zed does not like the cold, just like Marina.

Tiggy told Zed about her being adopted as well as her sisters and he gave her a knowing nod. She tells him she is originally from Spain. Then told him Pa Salt died. He asked her then if she is not working there for the reasons she told him. If there is another reason for her being there. Why did he ask that?

February 2007, Angus Kinnaird, Charlie’s father had died. 

1 Jan 2008: Tiggy visits Chilly, the gypsy living on the estate. He says: “those rich fellas are in for a recognin this year. They have been greedy. Laird, got big problems, take care around them. All the people at the house.”

A few days later, Zed was supposed to leave, but decided to stay on for the near future. Take a sabbatical. But this is of course only to pursuit Tiggy.

When meeting chilly again after she had taken Zed out, he says: “you take care, he is not what he seems. Or maybe he is. You should smell danger.” Which she did. 

When Tiggy told Chilly about what Pa Salt had told her in his letter, he cried and told her that the wind blew her to him. As was told. She would come and he would guide him home. 

Tiggy asks where Zed went to university. He says Sorbonne, in Paris, and that he realized a few days ago why her name was familiar. Because he was there with her sister Maia and that they had dated. He finished university and she had another year to go so they lost touch. He then asks if Electra is also her sister, and that their paths have crossed in New York (not telling Tiggy he had an on-off thing with her).

Zed asks Tiggy to tell him about Pa Salt. She tells him he died. Then Zed says his father also died recently, committing suicide after learning that he had terminal cancer. He was over 90 and at his desk in New York until the end. 

His mother died; she was 30 years younger than Kreeg. They divorced when he was in his teens. Court battle of who to live with. He won. Dies in a skiing accident when she was in her 40s.

Zed’s mother would be over 60 in 2007. They got divorced when Zed was in his teens. If he is born one year before Maia, he would have been born in 1973. His mother must have either died in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Do we know his mother? She must have been born in the 40’s or 50’s?

Zed asks Tiggy to take a position in his company, a newly created lightning communications global charity fund. To “Give something back to the world that he had taken from the world.” Most people in the business environment regarded his father as a crook. He is sure that to become so successful from nothing, it took some shortcuts. But he says he is not like him.

January 2007: Tiggy hears about CeCe being photographed on a beach in Thailand with ace. 

Tiggy asked Ally about Zed and asked what happened between him and Maia. 

She told Tiggy that they went out and that it ended badly. And that Theo met him a few times through sailing. And did not like him. She also told Tiggy the boat of Kreeg was next to Pa Salt’s boat. A lot of coincidences? Suggests confirming the date for the wreath. 

Last week of january 2008: they managed to take a photo of Pegasus. The white stag on Kinnaird. Got the film developed in the postal office in the village.

Fraser shows up when zara is missing. 

He found her when she was out driving. He and Erika shared a quick smile. They went to his cottage to put her in bath. 

Fraser is Beryl’s (and Angus) son. 

Press had heard rumors about the white stag.  

The man at the postal office had spread the gossip after seeing the image Tiggy and Cal got made. 

Tiggy called Maia in Brazil about Zed. Telling her about the job offer and that Zed seems interested in her. He stopped at nothing until he got her. He hardly said goodbye to Maia before leaving Sorbonne. Is it a

Coincidence that zed showed up in the highlands where she happened to work. 

Tiggy cannot help feeling sorry about zed. 

Chilly tells Tiggy to tell Angelina it was him who led her home. 

Maia emailed tiggy with concern about Zed. 

With an attachment. From a year ago, a picture of Zed and Electra at a gallery. Seen together in the past 18 months.

Tiggy declines the job, stating she loves Kinnaird and wants to stay. Zed then says he will buy the estate and that she can stay there to help him.  

Pegasus and Tiggy gets shot. Looked like he was wearing an old-fashioned trilby hat. 

When she is unconscious Pa Salt says she will be ok, and to stay with him. Does this mean that Pa Salt was still alive in the end of January 2008?

They find out about her heart condition as a result of being shot. 

Erica, Charlie’s wife, tells Tiggy to leave, so she does. 

She ran away from the hospital, and went to the airport, booking a flight to Granada via Gatwick. 

Angelina used to have rows of gitanos and Payos outside her door to tell their future.

Pepe lived with Angelina in 2008. Great uncle of Tiggy. Angelina is Tiggys cousin. 

Angelina, petite. Blue eyes. Michaela took care of her when she was little. 

She will teach Tiggy about her gift. 

February 2008, Angelina tells Tiggy about her and Lucia’s past. Teaching her all she knows. 

After a week in Sacromonte, she dialed Atlantis. Went to voice mail. Why is there no one there?

Her inner voice was not really loud and “working”. 

Angelina wants to teach her curses. In times of darkness you do what you have to to survive and to save the ones you love. Could this be referring to something Pa Salt did? Or something Tiggy will have to do in the future? 

She teaches tiggy the most powerful curse, which Angelina has used twice. Once for her and once for someone else. Both died. Will we know more about this in Atlas?

Tiggy is at a family party when Charlie showed up. Because of her heart condition.

Charlie had brought ally with him to granada. 

Tiggy sees Theo’s spirit and asks why she is not wearing her eye. And that he likes the name Bear. Theo also said to be prepared. But they have no idea what he meant with it. It must have been the birth right?

Ally suggests she goes to Geneva to recover from her heart condition. She needs to rest. She agrees. 

A woman in Granada calls Tiggy Erizo, like Angelina call her in Granada, and hand her a bouquet of rosemary, tied together. Took her hand and said something in Spanish which she could not know. Are these the same that Tiggy found in Pa Salt’s study? Proving he had been in Granada? Probably multiple times to talk to Angelina about Merry and potentially Elle + all the other sisters?

Allys water broke in the cave. Angelina came to deliver him. Charlie also helped. One month early. They named him Bear. Born in the same bed as Tiggy. 

Charlies right to inherit Kinnaird has been challenged by Fraser.

Angelina came to say goodbye to charlie.”You ahould know that she (Tiggy) has the answer to your problem” before he left Granada. 

On the day tiggy leaves for Geneva, she asks Angelina and pepe to tell her the rest of her story.

Chilly was born in Barcelona. Michaela, that delivered Lucia in 1912, told him Tiggy would come to him. 

Had Left Spain after the civil war. He ended up at Kinnaird after many travels in England before.

May 1912, Granada, Lucia is born. 

1922: Lucia is dancing for money instead of going to school. She enters the flamenco competition. 

Maria, Lucia’s mother, gave up dancing for her family. Lucia meets chilly at her grandparents’ house. He has a gift. 

Michala tells Maria that Chilly will one day guide Lucia’s granddaughter home. And that Chilly will play for Lucia multiple times in the future. 

Lucia and Jose leaves Granada to make a career in Barcelona.

17th July 1922: Lucias 13-year-old brother Filipe dies after a month in jail. Maria goes to Barcelona after the funeral to tell Jose and Lucia. 

Chilly also lives in Barcelona. Friends with Lucia. Maria leaves Jose and Lucia in Barcelona after finding Jose with his mistress in bed. She knows she cannot take the dancing away from her daughter.

August 1933, Lucia and Jose are in Barcelona.

Says she had danced with Rakel Millen 4 years ago (in 1929) did not like that the Albaycin trio was a bigger success than her. So, they left and worked in the cafes of Montmartre. Link to Maia? Laurent? They went back to Barcelona. 

She meets Augustine Campus (Menique) in august 1933, in Barcelona. Elegant frame, short, black hair, pale. He has Payo blood. Butterscotch eyes. Menique=little finger. Guitarist. Very good and well known. From Pamplona. North Spain. Mother is a Payo. 

She went to visit her mother in granada in the late summer. 

Carlos, lucias brother turned out to become a firniture makes/carpenter. Both gitanos and payos came to buy his furniture. Opening a showroom in the city in 1933. 

Pepe, about 10 years old, the child of Jose and Maria.

He plays the guitar. Calm, dry sense of humor. No record of his birth, this saved him during the civil war. Soldiers did not know about him. 

Lucia and Menique enters a relationship. Lucia is now 21. Gets a contract at colosseum in Madrid. Menique has a contract elsewhere for 2 months (end 1933). Her carreer was taking off. November 1933, civil war is building up in Spain.

July 1936, Madrid. Coup in Morocco. Uprising predicted to be spread to Madrid and Spain. Franco wants to take over Spain, turning into a fascist state, just like Hitler is doing in Germany. 

Menique is suggesting they go early to Portugal. She had a contract in Lisbon. Lucia wants to finish the performances in colosseum. She is very famous now. 

Civil war close to break out. Not safe on the street, they are in colosseum for the final performance. But nobody showed up. Explosion and heavy artillery around them. Nationalists are trying to take control of the city. Chilly tells Lucia that Rosalba is alone in their apartment. He goes to find her. Leaving Lucia and the Quadro in the theatre. 

They find shelter in the basement of the coloseum. 

They decide to go to Lisbon asap. But they need papers and to get the money hidden in their apartment. Jose went to pick up everything from their apartment. Menique went to Rosalba and chilly’s apartment but were not able to get there due to military barricades. 

Soldier took Menique’s car and Jose’s money. 

The cleaner helps them get in touch with her brother, who is a bus driver to escape to the border. They got money from the theatre safe to pay him. They were blessed by these two people. Took them safe to Portugal.

Lucia want to rescue her mother and brothers. Menique went back to ask bernard whether they can help them.  They agreed to help.

Autumn 1936, Maria and pepe came to their hotel in Lisbon. Ramon, Carlos and Eduardo had disappeared.

August 1938, Jose got an offer to play in Buenos Aires, Argentinia. 

Unable to go back to Spain. Political environment in Europe is getting scary. Menique wants to leave Europe. They go. On the ship there she is nauseous.

September 1944, during the European war. Lucia was in Argentina, South America. At the height of her career. Lucia had sprained her ankle during a performance, which forced her to take a break. 

Menique had never been happier with her. She was so calm. If she would stay like this, he would marry her tomorrow. 

Sol hurok had booked a boat for them to new york on 11 September 1944. He also had worked with anna pavlova according to Wikipedia.  

She approved without telling Menique. They had been 6 years in south america when they left for America. 

They were first declined entry. But 20 days later, in October 1944, they came back to America, and all went well the second time. Stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. 

Maria suspects Jose was having an affair again.

Early 1945, they had been in New York for 4 months. Menique is not loving it but got good reviews. They set out on a US tour. 

Soviets are moving closer to Berlin. Menique had been asked to play in Mexico. 

Quadro moved into a large apartment on 5th ave. 30th floor.

Menique left Lucia as they could not agree on the future together.

May 1945,The war in Europe was finally over! Celebrations at time square.

Jose has a new lover. Lucia finds out she is pregnant 2 months after Menique left. She is 4-5 months pregnant. 

Maria forces Lucia to stop dancing until the baby is there. Lucia refuses to tell it to Menique and force maria not to tell him. They decide to go to Granada to have the baby in quiet. 

Checked in to a luxurious hotel in Granada under a fake name. Lucia’s spirit was low. She almost did not eat. Smoked a lot. They leased a finca outside of Granada. Moved in 3 months before Lucia’s baby was due. 

They went to Sacromonte in search of their old family. In their old cave, they find Michaela. 

Elena, the wife of Eduardo, had a baby before she was taken by the civil guard: Angelina, maria’s granddaughter. Elena had brought Angelina to Michaela for a few hours. They went to the forest for many hours, whilst the civil guard took all the people they could take. It saved them. Michaela brought up Angelina as her daughter. 

Angelina did not look gitana. 9-year-old. Red gold hair and blue eyes. Payo looking. “Your baby will be a girl and we will be great friends”. Pepe and Lucia is her aunt and uncle via Eduardo. Michaela dies, and Maria is to take care of her. 

Ramon came back three weeks ago. He had survived the civil war.

7th of September 1945, Isadora is born. Named after Isadora Duncan.

January 1946, Maria and Angelina were very hands on with Isadora. Lucia was not made for motherhood. 

Lucia wants to go back to nNew York when Isadora is only 4 months old. 

The Quadro had a contract coming up there. Lucia suggest she goes alone, leaving Isadora with Maria and Angelina. “They will never meet again” Angelina thought when Lucia left them behind. 

After Lucia leaves, Maria and Ramon discuss potentially putting Angelina on the square in Granada and start taking money for her seeing’s as their money will have run out by April 1946.

July 1946, Angelina joins Maria to the plaza de la pasiegas in Granada. 

Angelina earns a lot of money by telling the people a little something they would recognize to “lure” them in for a seeing.

June 1951, Angelina, now 16 years old, ask Isadora to come with her to the plaza in the morning. She always gets more customers when Isadora joins her. 

Early morning mass had just finished, when the man we believe is Pa Salt appears buying Isadora an ice cream after she is told to disappear by the ice cream store owner. The man was tall and sunburnt. With brown eyes. He did not speak Spanish. Asked to speak English when Isadora asks if he wants his fortune told. “Why not” he shrugged, asking Isadora to lead the way to Angelina who said: “I see hand, then I tell you about your daughter”. My daughter? He answered in shock. Angelina then told his fortunes. He walked away after. Angelina was still looking after the man. “I am too tired and hot for more clients. There is so much sadness in the world”. She was paid a lot by him. Does this mean he already made his fortune?

I believe Angelina is the source of the reason why he went on to adopt all his daughters. Probably she told him what he had to do to find his biological daughter Merry, and potentially Elle.

July 1951, Pepe shows up at Marias house. Lucia had died. Pepe asks Maria if they should tell Menique about Isadora. They agree not to. 

Pepe stays in Sacromonte. Moving into Ramona cave. He did not dare to tell his mother he was gay.

Pepe had brought money enough and inheritance for Isadora when she turned 18. She took the money to help her husband Andrés and Ramon. His parents owned the ice cream shop. Andres moved up to Sacromonte with Isadora. They sold juice in the plaza and later coca cola. They married when she was 18. They only had Tiggy nearly 20 years later.

1981, The time after the war was heavy in Spain. Andres and Isadora were so happy when she was pregnant after losing so many children. Andres died one night, from a moped accident in bad weather. Isadora took it very hard. Tiggy came a month early, and Isadora died a day after Tiggy was born because of the birth. Pa Salt visited for a reading just a few days later. Tiggy was there, just a few days old. He heard the story and offered to adopt her. Angelina trusted him. “Your father is..was a very special man”. Made him promise he would send her back when she is older. “Your father told us he would name you after one of the seven sisters. I… did he find more of you?” Then Tiggy says yes one more, Electra, she arrived a year after me. “And the seventh sister?” Angelina asks. When Tiggy says no Angelina responds, “I am surprised” Why was she surprised? Angelina shrugged after opening and closing her mouth to say something. What did she want to say?

February 2008, Tiggy goes to Atlantis, being locked up in her room for a week. All the meals brought up to her. She begged to come down for dinner. But she is told to stay in bed to rest, probably on Charlies orders. Not even allowed to go to the bathroom alone. Was this because Pa Salt or someone else is also there? 

One night, Tiggy started to Prawl around the house. After she got a sort of urge to do so. But she kept on getting up each night, and then it struck her that she was searching for something. Or more accurate someone. She felt Pa Salts presence very strong. What did she feel? Pa Salt?  

She finds herbs tied together (like those the woman gave Tiggy in Granada) and a small Madonna in his office. Does this prove he is the man Isadora and Angelina met in Granada in 1951?

She still do not feel Pa Salts spirits. Is he still alive in February 2008?

When Tiggy asks Marina if she can get out of bed, Marina says there are too many stairs to climb. But there is a lift? Why does she not tell her about it? A bit later she tells Tiggy that she and Claudia thinks she should use the lift. “Your father had it put in before he..left us”. It has 4 buttons. But there are only three floors, the last one in the cellar. Which is where he stored his wine. Marina said Pa Salt wanted to be able to access all floors with the lift and had it inserted some time before he died.

This cellar is also something Tiggy is unaware of. You get there with the lift. But in the spring of 2007, there was no lift. Does this confirm that the cellar is new, and what does it have to do with Pa Salts death? After the talk with Marina, Tiggy wonders what Marina had said in the lift that had rung the warning bell of a lie. So, Marina had lied.

Late February/Early March 2008,2008, Christian was not at Atlantis. Christian was also in Paris at the end of March, when he meets Electra there. Did they maybe move Pa Salt from Atlantis to Paris whilst Tiggy was at Atlantis?

Tiggy was supposed to stay at Atlantis until half March 2008. 

Tiggy asks “Why did pa decide to hide the lift”? The illness and heart attack were not unexpected, Marina confirmed. 

Tiggy’s brain had forced her to repeat the curse that could kill every day. She did not know why. Is this because she will need to use it in the future?

Early March 2008, Tiggy goes down to the basement in the night. It is modern and located under the kitchen. Held loads of wine bottles, even though Pa Salt only drank on special occasions. She found the hidden door behind the wine racks. Similar to that which covered the lift. The lift key fits, but the rack prevents it to be moved. There were also a second set of steel doors where the lift was. A button next to it. Like a bank vault. More about the cellar and Atlantis can be found HERE.

Marina acted suspicious the next morning when she asked how Tiggy had slept. Did she know she had been down there?

Claudia took 3 days off to visit a relative of her. Who did she go to see? Is it possible that Pa Salt was moved before and that they took turns in taking care of him in Paris? Christian is back at Atlantis. He dropped Claudia off at the airport. Did she take over for him? 

Zara shows up in Geneva. Erika is at Kinnaird. Zara and Tiggy goes to Kinnaird in the first week of March. Tiggy has the interview in London on March 7th. 

Beryl was sobbing, she had told Fraser that he was her and Angus’s son. Just before Fraser and Jessie eloped to Canada. To try to stop him leaving Scotland. 

Fraser was Charlies best friend when he was young. They were the same age. Inseparable when young. Angus, Charlie’s father, had paid for boarding school for Fraser. 

At Edinburgh university, they had a huge fight as Fraser stole Charlies girlfriend (fiancé) Jessie. They then went off to Canada. He did not know that Fraser was his brother. Angus and Beryl had been lovers for years. Fraser was born a few months before Charlie. This meant Fraser is the eldest son. He therefore has a legal claim on Kinnaird, as Angus did not write a will. 

There was an argument on Christmas 2007: Fraser intended to go to court to claim his rightful part of the estate. 

When Tiggy is at Kinnaird in March 2008, and Erika and Charlie have an argument, Fraser leaves, putting on his hat. Tiggy recognizes him as her shooter. They use this to get him out of the way. 

Tiggy heals the baby white stag, and she accepts a job with Fiona and a relationship with Charlie. 

Electra’s story – The Sun Sister

March 2008, New York

Pa salt had something to tell her when he came to see her a year ago in New York. He was worried about her. She do not know what he wanted to tell her as she walked out on him high on drugs. 

Tommy, an army veteran had showed up in front of Electra’s door for the past few months, he was there to protect her. Did Pa Salt hire him to do so? It seems a bit random that someone just want to protect a random celebrity.

Electra was discovered at 16 years old, by a model agent whilst in Paris. She had told Pa Salt that she wanted to drop out of school and go to Paris. He had nodded and said “excellent choice”. Afterwards, he had looked dreamy and sad.

Marina had connections in Paris, she helped Electra find a place to stay. She ended up in a small studio in Montmartre. 

Zed was also back in New York. He was her enigma. They had hooked up regularly for the past 3 years, except for when she was in a relationship with Mitch. She had reinstated him a few weeks ago. This means Zed went to New York after Tiggy had rejected his job offer when he was at Kinnaird.

Electra told him about her and her sisters plans of laying a wreath in June 2008, where Ally saw Pa Salts boat.

Late March 2008, Electra and Miriam went to Paris, they went to Montmartre, and sat at a table where Electra used to work. Very close to her old apartment which Marina had arranged for her almost 10 years ago.

She saw Christian sitting alone outside on the restaurant. Electra sat down to have a drink with him. No idea how old he is. Around 35, warm brown eyes, very tall and fit, he was 9 when Electra came to Atlantis.

He said he was visiting an old friend of him, but Electra had a strong feeling that he was lying. He was leaving back to Atlantis the day after. He was staying in the same building where Electra stayed 10 years ago. Her friend owned the building. Was he there to see Pa Salt? Or was he there to be close to Electra in case she would need help? He was going back the day after her initially scheduled flight. 

Christian knew Pa Salt from when he was a young boy, he had helped him and his mother a lot. He was a father figure to him. Who is his mother? Could he be Marina’s son? Or Claudia’s? Or could they be related to the Eszu’s? 

Ally and Bear were at Atlantis. He suggests Electra comes with him to Atlantis. His car was there in Paris, so they drove back together. 

Electra smelled Pa Salts scent in the car. The trip from Paris to Atlantis was approximately 5 hours. Christian did not drive Pa Salt very often. But if he did, then it was to the airport in Geneva for his private jet. He would then take off to destinations around the world. 

Atlantis is described as a Disney chateau, very unlike Pa. He had a minimal wardrobe; a linen jacket for summer, tweed for winter, another in-between seasons. His bedroom was sparsely furnished. Did he do something in his past that he wanted to make good? A crime? Or is this imply referring to him having had both nothing and everything?

Electra still had not opened the letter from Pa Salt. 

Tiggy told Ally about the cellar and the lift. She wanted them to investigate it. Ally suggest they find out where it leaves to without asking Marina about it. During breakfast, Electra blurts out: “maybe I can sleep in the secret basement Tiggy found when she was here?”, turning to Marina. Marina says: “ahh the basement. I can take you down to see it after breakfast”. Was she not afraid they would find anything? Because if it is correct that they had moved Pa Salt from the basement just a few days before, it was nothing for them to find there anyway?

When they went down to see it after breakfast, Electra browsed the wine racks. She did not ask about the hidden door. The following two wines were called out: Chateau Margaux 1957. 1972 Rothschild burgundy. Any clues related to these families and/or winehouses?

The basement is a safe room. If attacked, they can seal and call for help. It had Wi-Fi signal. Electra did not go investigate after this.  Instead, she went to Pa Salts study. She smells his cologne there suddenly. Then she left hastily. 

Ally ask Electra about zed, and if they are an item.  She confirms them being lovers, then Ally leaves the subject.

Marina is described as elegant and understated. She once went to the opera with Pa Salt in Paris. They shared a love for Puccini. Marina is mid 60s. She tells Electra that there was always someone else for him and that they never had a romantic relationship. 

Marina was not with Pa when he found Electra in New York. She was at home at Atlantis, taking care of the other girls.

Back in New York, Electra started to heal and want to find the letter from Pa Salt. Mariam helps with searching. 

Suzie had passed on another letter to Mariam that was delivered to the agency. Mariam thought it was important for Electra to read it. This letter had a Brooklyn address on top, it was from Stella Jackson, Electra’s biological grandmother. Inside she found a photo of a beautiful woman holding a baby. The woman looks like Electra. 

Mitch come to see her, telling her is getting married. She gets furious and took too many drugs and sleeping pills. Mariam woke her saying they had to go to the airport in New York.  

Mariam and Electra go to Rio for a shoot. Somewhere in April 2008. Mariam suggests Electra visit Maia as she now lived there.

Electra did not tell Maia she was there. Maia only saw a picture of her in Brazil and asked her to call her to meet up. Electra kept putting it off. Maia and Mariam then walks in on Joaquim and Electra whilst on drugs and drink only 40 minutes before Electra had to go to the airport.

Maia and Mariam arranged for Electra to stay a few more days. Maia suggests Electra goes to a rehab in Arizona. She then left Rio.

What if Tommy, Mariam and Stella had all been asked to keep an eye on Electra? To protect her, not just from herself, but from the media?

Back in New York, tommy tells her that Stella had been there to see her whilst she was away in Rio. 

She also received a box from Mitch that held some of her possessions, including the missing letter from Pa Salt. She finally reads it. 

Pa Salt t mentions that he knew Stella, but only for a short time. Probably from the time he had been in New York to speak to Electra in 2007?

Electra gives Stella a call and they agree to meet up. Stella starts telling Electra about their story, starting with Cecily.

Cecily Huntley Morgan, New York, New Years Eve 1938. 

Anyone who is anyone in Manhattan is going to the same party as Cecily Huntley Morgan and her family, held in the Waldorf Astoria. 

She had just been dumped by Jack, a neighbor in West Hampton, they used to spend the summer together growing up. He was a distant relative of the Vanderbilts. Set to marry Patricia Ogden Forbes, an heiress from Chicago. She appeared in Manhattan around Christmas 1938. Jack broke off his engagement with Cecily as a result. US high societies was built up by traders and bankers, which was similar to the European nobility. 

Kiki Preston, Cecily’s god mother, once had a liaison with an English prince. She had dark hair and green eyes. Back in New York to see lawyers. Past few years were terrible for her as she lost both her husband and other family members. She is only around 40. 

The great depression is still visible in the US. 

When Cecily was 13, her father had cried on her mother’s shoulder as he described how a great friend of his had jumped out of a window after the Wall Street crash. Cecily tried to keep up with what was happening and took economics as her minor when she studied at Vassar. 

British Captain Tarquin Price was stationed in Kenya since 1938, “when the whole thing with Hitler blew up”. 

Cecily’s mother work with charities. She sometimes helps out. However, they never went to visit these charities. Cecily’s mother and her friends had raised over 1000 dollars to a charity in Harlem. Could this be the orphanage where Electra was born?. Cecily wants to visit it but her mother refused as she would be “robbed by the negros”.

January 1939, the German economy is booming. Hitler is in charge. 

Kiki and Tarquin dropped by to speak to Cecily and her family to ask if Cecily could come back to Kenya with Kiki. Her father agrees and given the scandal currently playing out for Cecily with her broken off engagement, it seems like the best idea.

Cecily’s father talks about Alice de Janze, Kiki’s friend. In Kenya they were part of the “happy valley set”,. Alice was married but fell in love with Raymond. When he did not want to marry her, she shot him at port du Nord in Paris a few years ago. She also shot herself, but both survived. Then they married.

It is suggested that Cecily stays with Audrey Woodhead, her mother Dorothea’s trophy friend, in transit to Africa. She had got an English lord husband 15 years ago in 1924. Audrey knew Kiki from the time they lived in Paris. Audrey also has a house in Eaton Square in London. When did they live in Paris, and which other connections could there be to the other books?

Could Kiki be Pa Salts mother?

England, February 1939

Cecily stays a few days at Woodhead Hall in England on her way to Africa. It is located in West Sussex, a 3-hours’ drive from South Hampton port. Here she meets Julius Woodhead who is about the same age as her. He has shiny black hair, large brown eyes. Audrey is his aunt. His father was the younger brother of Edgar Woodhead, Audrey’s husband. He died in the great war, when Julius was only 18 months old. His aunt hates Julius’s mother, who lives in Italy. She did not take him with her but dumped him on the doorstep of Woodhead Hall. Julius is a poet and would like to run away to Paris and live in an attic in Montmartre. He said if there was war, he would fight. He had his way with Cecily before he went off to London. His fiancé Veronica lived there. He had not told Cecily about her. Their wedding was set for the summer, but the parents did not approve. 

Audrey had no children of her own. Edgar was in London all week. Woodhead Hall was not very social in February. During a dinner, Cecily was put next to Tristan and an elderly mayor. The mayor had also been in Kenya a few years ago and his younger brother bought a kettle farm somewhere west from the mountains. His younger brother is Bill Forsythe, Cecily’s future husband.

Cecily told him Kiki was his god mother, then the mayor said “well, well, everyone knows of her. Her and Alice de Trafford are infamous. The Muthaiga Club in Nairobi was awash with talk about their takers, and Adina Sackville. Who kept many others from a straight line. Her and Joss Errol had crazy parties”. It had been almost 20 years ago that he had been there. His brother was not interested in that set, more interested in his kettle farm.

Kenya 1939

Alice was skinny, with brown eyes and an elegant jaw. 

She had visited Cecily’s mum once in New York.

Cecily talks about going up to the Scottish Highlands for a few days with her family when they were in London. Not sure exactly when? But could there be a connection to the other books or to Kinnaird? 

Cecily visits Alice alone as Kiki was ill. There she meets Catherine Stewart, a plump but attractive woman. She had pale skin and bright blue eyes. She is British but was brought up in the valley in Kenya. Her father is Scottish, and she went to school just outside of Aberdeen. Father and mother originally came to Kenya as missionaries before she was born. Her mother had died a few years back. Catherine’s fiancé is Bobby Sinclair, and they live in Kenya. Bobby’s parents moved back to England a few years ago. Bobby is 10 years older than Catherine who turns 27 in 1939, meaning she was born in 1912. Bobby was born around 1929. Catherine’s mother was a friend of Alice as she used to work for her as a housekeeper and look after Alice’s animals. 

Catherine had never visited Kiki. Why was that? 

Bobby and Catherine’s closest neighbor is Bill Forsythe.

Cecily turns 23 in 1939, so she was born in 1916.

Cecily asks Catherine if she visited Kiki at Mundui House, she answers that she has not, her mother and father disapproved of the “happy valley set”. But why was Kiki so cold when he answered that Catherine had never visited? Cecily felt Catherine knew more about Kiki then telling her when she asks if she knows whether Kiki had any illnesses. 

Bill Forsythe had sandy hair and blue eyes. He turns 38 in the autumn of 1939, meaning he was born around 1901. He is English and an aristocrat, his mother a hon, meaning she was a lady before her marriage. Had gone to Eaton and hated it there. Joss Erroll had saved him; they were good friends and in the same year and house. Joss was expelled from Eaton. Bill went to Oxford to study law but was called to go to war towards the end of the great war. But the was over when he entered. He stayed at the army for a couple of years, until his fiancé left him, and he lost the plot. Joss tipped him that the British government was looking for men to come out to Kenya to establish a community 20 years earlier in 1919.

Could he be Teddy’s dad? Or is he related to Elise Forsythe who we meet in CeCe’s book?

Bobby is 37 in 1939, born around 1902.

February 1939, Cecily goes on a safari with Bobby, Bill and Catherine. 

War is about to break out in europe. Cecily wants to stay in africa. 

Kiki was gone for weeks, and wrote a letter to cecily saying she had gone to nairobe to support alice through her illness. Would return in a trice, but she stayed for longer. Catherine told cecily that alice had been home for the past two weeks. So kiki was not with her in nairobi?! Staying at muthaba club? Or is she somewhere else? 

Kiki came back with tarquin. 10-15 years younger. This was probably the reason kiki was gone (with him). 

Cecily had left her address with doris to give to julius before leaving england. Woodhead hall. 

March 1939

Cecily went to Nairobi to attend Catherine and Bobby’s wedding at Muthaiga club. She stayed there overnight. 

Joss Errol is blonde and has blue eyes. He was also there. 37 years old. Very handsome. Same age as Bobby and Bill. 

Germany had invaded Prague. 

Cecily is pregnant with Julius’ child. She talks about it with Kiki, telling her the father is Julius. Kiki knows Audrey. Audrey hated Kiki for some reason, but she will “save that story” for another time. 

Kiki also says she has “been around many blocks”. The facts of Julius seducing Cecily only to get his way is similar to Kiki’s situation when she was in the same predicament with an English prince, 4th in line of the throne. Kiki had to go to a clinic in Switzerland and wait out the pregnancy there. Baby was taken away from her. who was this baby? Could it be anyone we meet in another book?

Cecily and Bill get into an arrangement for her to become his wife and him to bring up the baby as his own. Bill then asked her who the father was, and he said, “good lord, that’s closer to home than I thought”, but he is glad his brother would not know. 

Tarquin was called back as he was a captain due to the invasion of Prague. The war in Europe is imminent. 

Bill and Cecily’s wedding was planned asap in Kenya, set on 17th April 1939. The wedding ring was a diamond band with a reddish stone in the center. A star ruby brought to Bills grandmother from his grandfather from Burma. When the light shines on it, you can see a perfect star at the top. 

Bill would send a telegram to his brother to put a note in the times in England.

Wedding: at Kiki’s house by the lake. A lot of guests she had never met. Joss Erroll was Bill’s best man. Her family was not there. Bobby would give her away. Catherine was her maid of honor. 

Norfolk hotel was where they would spend the wedding night. Afterwards, they would live with Catherine and Bobby until their new home was ready. Bill’s wedding present was that he took Cecily on a flight over the Kenyan landscape and gave her a horse for transport.

May 1939, Cecily told her mother that she was due in December, even though this was not true. 

Kept busy learning how to cook with Catherine at Inverness cottage. 

Bill was out on the plains a lot with his kettle. 

Cecily listened to BBC service on the political situation in Europe. 

Joss had told Bill that if war broke out, he would need as many men as possible to help and that he was thinking of joining the Kenyan regiment himself. Bill thought he should do the same.

End of June 1938, Bill and Cecily moved into their new farm. 

Bill spent a lot of time often Joss Errol and military staff. British intelligence says the Germans have been cozying up to the Russians. Probably deciding how to carve out Europe between them. 

Father of Bill was colonel in the first world war. 

Beginning to station troops in Kenya to be sure. 

Cecily had swellings and a headache.

August 1939

Cecily was lying in bed when bill showed up with 3 Maasai men. 5 days later, Catherine visits. Cecily is back in bed. Catherine took her to the hospital in Nairobi. 

Cecily is diagnosed with pre-eclampsia and lost her baby after Catherine chose for Cecily to be operated to save her life. Dr Stevens, a British doctor, just arrived from Guys hospital in London and operates Cecily. Well versed in this type of procedures says Dr Boyle. Dr Stevens operated for 5 hours. Cecily survived even in a serious condition. The baby was a girl. Only survived for 30 minutes. Sends Bobby and Catherine home. Cecily is devastated when she finds out. 

September 1940

Bill was away more since the war started last year right after she lost her daughter Fleur. War had forced him to Nairobi. Bobby had an administrative role during the war due to his asthma. 

Cecily is only 24. 

One of the Maasai men asked Bill to help the eldest daughter (a princess) of one of the tribe members. She was pregnant, which was strictly forbidden. They are asked to protect her until the baby is born. They are allowed to stay in the forest close to Cecily and Bill.

Catherine is expecting a baby in May 1941. Bill currently has a war office desk job. Asked to take command of a battalion of the King’s African Rifles. Overseeing recruitment and organizing troop movements at first, but he wants to fight with his men if Kenya is invaded. 

December 1940, Bill invites Joss Erroll to their farm. Jock Delves Broughton, a tall elderly English man and Diana, a striking blonde, had moved to Kenya to escape the war in England. They invited them as well. Diana was the same age as Cecily – now 24. Joss was very interested in Diana, and there were rumors circulating of the two of them. 

Cecily and Njala, the Maasai girl had become friends as Cecily kept on visiting her.
Whilst Bill was away for the race in Nairobi for Christmas week, Njala’s camp in the forest had disappeared, they had left with no warning. The dog found the baby shortly after, hidden in the woods where they had left it behind. This is Stella, Electra’s grandmother. Cecily takes care of her.  

Christmas 1940, Cecily tells Bill about Stella. They hire domestic help so that nobody will ask questions on why Stella was suddenly living with them. This enables Cecily to bring her up when nobody is watching. Cecily got a gold chain from Bill, with a square emerald sitting in the center of a cluster of diamonds. That sounds a lot like the ring Merry had. Only that was with a diamond in the center with a cluster of emeralds around it.

He had the stone for years, a South African chap gave it to him when he did him a favor. 

New years eve 1940/41 Cecily attends a party at Muthaiga club with Bill.
Paul and Princess Olga of Yugoslavia were staying with Kiki during the war. 

Princess Olga was related to the Romanov’s through her mother Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna of Russia.

Last week of January 1941, Joss died in an accident. Seen as murder. 

End of May 1941, Reporters from all over the world for Joss’ murder case to be trialed. 
Michael, Catherine’s son was born.

July 1941, Case is ending. Jock was aquitted. Bill goes to Mombasa. 

1943, Bill and the 11th division was shipped to burma to fight.

May 1945, the war is over. Bill had held the role of commander in the Kings African Rifles and fought with his troops where necessary.

June 1945, Bill finally comes home. He is looking old and haunted. He wants to immediately get his farm in order. Cecily wants to go to New York with him and Stella. He says he cannot yet.

1946, Cecily was still alone, wanting to go to New York. Bill was there but not present. Had turned silent and cold, with bad moods. 

November 1946, Michael is 6 years old, Stella is his best friend. Catherine pregnant again. Cecily wants to go home for Christmas. She goes without Bill, but bring Lankanua, the help, and Stella with her. Kiki was already back in New York.

They stay with Dorothea and Walter, Cecily’s parents in Manhattan. They had invited Kiki, but her son had passed away as well in action. She did not show up. 

Cecily lets Stella sleep in her bed. 

Lankuea is ill, calls Dr barnes to see her. 

December 1946

Cecily went to visit Kiki at the hotel she lived at. She gave her a photo of the two of them taken in Kenya. 

Kiki committed suicide. 

Mrs. Terrence Jackson (Rosalynd) invited Cecily to the Vassar reunion on January 3rd, 1947, in Brooklyn.

Their soirées were very sought after, she was a feminist.

January 1947

Brooklyn was full of Irish immigrants, that had built the Brooklyn bridge. Popular area for younger people.

Cecily went to the reunion. Meets Beatrix, a black woman at Rosalind’s.

They were working on setting up a school in Rosalind’s home for young black kids they wanted to educate. Asking Cecily if she wants to bring Stella there and if she can help out as a teacher. 

They also asked her to join them on a protest for the housing situation in Haarlem. At the Abyssinian Baptist church in Haarlem.

Archer drove her to there. He does not want to. Drops her off at 132 west 138 street. Lennox. The Irish mayor was speaking. Anger arises from the demonstrants towards the police. 

The man we believe is Pa Salt shows up; a tall, white man with a deep voice. He helped Cecily when the demonstration escalated. She told him her driver waited at Lennox Street. The police tried to catch Pa Salt afterwards, but Cecily pulled him into the car. He asked them to drop him off at the nearest subway station. They just came up on 110th station, which would suit him fine. Cecily asked if she could take his name, and after a short hesitation, he gave her a card. Why did he hesitate? Was he already conscious about who he could trust? What was he doing in Haarlem at that time? He was with Elle, so not yet looking for her. Was he working in intelligence already? Are there any interesting locations located close to the church?

The demonstration changed her world view, and she want to fight for justice. 

After this, she takes Stella to Rosalind in Brooklyn. Cecily told Rosalind the truth about how she found her and took her and her help in. It touches Rosalind, who want to help Stella and Cecily get a good life and education. 

Cecily decides to delay her return to Africa. She is not able to get in touch with bill. Stella starts school and Cecily teaches there. 

She had also called the number on the card from Pa Salt to thank him. A woman with a French accent had answered and passed the phone to her husband. This must be Elle. They went under the name “Tanit”. Just like the couple at High Weald.

Cecily insisted on buying them lunch. They had eaten at the Waldorf Astoria. The Tanits were both well-travelled and had lived through the war in Europe. Shortly after their lunch, they had returned to England. This was in 1947, two years before we meet a distressed Pa Salt on the boat to Australia, looking for Elle, and almost 3 years before Merry is born in Ireland in November 1949. What happened in these two years?

End of march 1947, Dorothea had returned from Chicago, and brought a tense atmosphere. 

Stella fell asleep in Cecily’s bed one night during a blister. Her mother walks in and finds Stella in her bed. She is shocked and pull her out of the bed, furious on Cecily. They argue, and Stella and Lankuwa are thrown out. Cecily leaves with them. They never returned again. 

They went to Rosalind, where they stayed for months. Kiki Preston saved them, as she had left Cecily with some shares and cash. She then bought an apartment in Brooklyn.

Cecily was not allowed to adopt Stella legally, so Rosalind did. Her husband Terrence was a lawyer and had friends in high places. She took their last name Jackson and stella got citizenship and a US passport. 

Martin Luther King jr organized a boycott to fight segregation after Rosa Park refused to give up her seat in a bus. 

Universal declaration of human rights had been passed by Un in 1948. First step to fight racial sagregation. Separating black from white.

1952-1960 Mau Mau rebellion in Africa, Billy and Catherine went to Scotland with their kids whilst it was on, with many other white settlers.

1959 stella won a scholarship for Vassar.

1963, last year at Vassar, Stella joined march on Washington. Listened to the “I have a dream” speech given by Martin Luther King, and after this she had a rendezvous with an unknown man and fell pregnant. Could this man have been Luther King?!

Stella applied to law school, to become a civil right lawyer and activist in New York. Got a place at Colombia law school. 

She told Cecily about her pregnancy, who was calm about it. Stella told her she did not want to keep the baby and that she did not love the father. Abortion was illegal. Possible to do it in silence, but she refused as she was raised a Christian. Cecily told her they would sort it out together and that Cecily could care for the child whilst stella was in law school. 

Kenya was finally independent. 

1964, civil act finally passed. Electra’s mother Rosa was born. Stella finished law school and started to work on civil rights. Was not home often. Cecily encouraged her to follow her dream. 

June 1969, Rosa is 5. Cecily would be 53. Rosa was demanding, everything was a struggle. Cecily feels she is getting too old to take care of her. 

Bill showed up in Brooklyn. He has to take it a bit easier due to his heart. Wants to sell paradise farm, asking her for permission. Has been in England. Already have a buyer. 

His older brother died in 1968, and left Bill everything in England. He had been to see it on his way to New York. Very close to Woodhead Hall.

Bill asks Cecily to come back to Kenya with him on vacation. 

Stella is working hard to make a name for herself. Cecily told Stella how she had left Bill behind in Kenya to take her to New York, and that they were still married. 

Stella and Bill arrange for Cecily to join him on vacation. They will look for a nanny for Rosa. Bill will pay for this. Also arranging for a housekeeper. They had worked out everything. 

They went to Kenya after everything was arranged. They never returned. Extended their vacation with 6 months, traveled through Africa, but Cecily got ill and died from malaria. They were too far away from any hospital. She died in Bill’s arms. 

Bill came back to US for a while, they spread the ashes together at the statue of liberty. He went back to Kenya, and 5 years later he died. Gave stella all he owned. 

Rosa had a lot of nannies, all leaving after a few months. With the legacy from Bill, Stella could stay home with Rosa, but this was not for her. She was not maternal. Rosalind told stella that Rosa could no longer stay at the school, she was disturbing the rest. 

She then went to a more holistic school; lack of rules became an extreme. She refused to go to school, and there were no family structure around her. When Cecily died, Stella wanted to become even better at what she did. Rosa was 10. 4-5 schools later, she was out of control. Rosalind suggested to send her to a boarding school in Boston. 

Stella was called for an interview at the UN, for a role at a new department looking at apartheid. Based in Manhattan. Everything went well with rosa in Boston. 

Then puberty hit. School called she had disappeared. With a boy.  Boy was almost 20, they were found drinking. She was 14. School sent her back to New York. No day schools would take her. Only option was an open school, where she got in with the wrong crowd. By 16 she lost control over her. Started using drugs. Did not want to listen. Brought home by police a few times. 

Threat of jail calmed her. For some time. 

Then she disappeared. Stella could not find her, searched for two years. 

Stella only found out that rosa had died just over a year ago, in 2007, when Pa Salt came to visit her. He had spent time trying to trace Electra’s birth family because he knew he was dying and wanted to leave her a letter telling her where she had come from. He had gone back to Hale house, where he had found her and spoken to the daughter of Clara Hale, who had put him in touch with one of the women who had worked there at that time.

Turns out, it was her who had taken Electra in that night. The register was without details on the mother. But she remembered the man that had brought her in. She had seen him around the neighborhood, and that he was a junkie. Went around by the name Mickey. Pa Salt had scouted the area and found him at the Abyssinian church in Haarlem. Now a reformed man. Stella did not know.

Michael, which was his new name, used to live in the same crack den as Rosa when she was pregnant. Junkies were always moving to find hiding places. He was there when she was born. He took her to Hale house. Rosa was bleeding out, they left her where she had given birth. Pa Salt was able to find Stella because of Michael, as Rosa had told him about her mother. He knew the year that Electra was born, so he called the UN to ask if someone by the name Stella worked there then. That’s how he got her last name. He then looked her up online and wrote to her. Pa Salt and Stella went to find out where Rosa was buried, on Heart Island in the Bronx.

Electra, April 2008

Pa salt had sent Stella to Electra after telling her she was out of control. Stella only knew about Electra since recently. I assume Pa Salt told her about her?

A year ago, in 2007, Electra met with Pa Salt in New York. He had flown over to see Stella and Electra after finally managing tracing Stella after all these years. He wanted to meet her. Stella thought he knew he was ill. Pa Salt asked her to contact Electra if Pa Salt was no longer there. Mr. Hoffmann contacted her by post in July 2007, to inform Stella about his passing. But she was abroad, and only got the letter in March 2008, when she wrote to Electra’s agent. 

Electra called Maia for help after taking some tablets and nearly overdosed. But she was in Brazil. She then called Mariam and she and Tommy helped so that she did not have to go to the hospital. This is when Electra decides to take Maia’s advice and check into rehab in Arizona.

Stella had lost her daughter, Electra’s mother, to addiction.

The Ranch, Arizona, May 2008, day 22 in rehab 

Electra talks about a holiday she had gone on when she was around 6 or 7. Around 1988. They had been on Titan as usual in the Mediterranean. Pa salt had taken her on the speed boat to a friend of his and his stables close to Nice. Who was this friend?

Electra says she never asked about her birth family. But someone had to have done this according to one of the sisters letters, where Pa Salt says one of the sisters had asked. Or did she? But she did not remember because of drugs or alcohol abuse?

May 2008, Vanessa overdose. Electra helps her and want to buy the ranch in Arizona. 

Tommy was at the AA meeting that Electra goes to. 2 days ago, he had taken a drink. He tells that he had met a girl, and that he loves her, but they can never be together. Electra, believe he refers to her, but it is actually Mariam. 

He had been in Afghanistan, and when he came back, his wife had left with their child. This was why he had started drinking.

Early June 2008, Electra picks up Vanessa and Miles at JFK. Brought Vanessa to a clinic. 

Electra shaved off her hair. Tommy was back infront of her home again. 

Email from Tiggy thanking her for the apology letter. 

Tiggy at Kinnaird. Ma had told her she got help for her problem. Proud of her. She had been thinking about het and praying for her in the “Tiggy way”. She feels instinctively that it is important they are all at the Titan to lay wreath on the anniversary of Pa Salts death in June. 

Electra had not yet checked the quote and coordinates from the armillary sphere, but she had no idea where she left the note. Called Ally. Ally and Maia confirm they will arrive earlier to Atlantis in June. . 

Electra’s coordinates take her to Haarlem, and Hale house. 15 blocks from where she lives now. She then called Maia. Got a voice mail. 

Speaks to Miles who wants to take her to Haarlem the next day to show her the drop-in center. She tells him she was found at Hale house. He knows all about it. 

The drop-in Center is called “Hands of hope”, but it lost its funding last year. Developer had bought the building, so they are being evicted. They want to use Electra’s profile to raise funds for a new center. 

They walked to hale house. 

June 2008

Electra gets mugged in Central Park, an old man helps her afterwards, saying he lived close to her for 80 years, and that he was born there. Knew the Huntley Morgans (Cecily’s family), and told her that after Walter died, Dorothea lived alone for years. She used to terrify him. All in black, nobody visited her. He recommended Electra to get a bodyguard. 

Stella still lives in the apartment Cecily bought in 1947.

Mariam and tommy had fallen in love. 

Stella invites Electra to speak at the Concert of Africa, on the topic of drug addiction. They go on stage together.

June 2008, Atlantis

Maia and Ally were at Atlantis when Electra did the speech with Stella at the Concert of Africa. Maia had arrived that day. The housephone rang after, and the doorbell. Went to open the door to Georg Hoffman who said he had incredible news. Wanted to speak to them as soon as possible. pulls out an envelope saying he received this email about an hour ago at home. I think you should read it Ally and Maia. For many years, your father and I have been on a search, that had taken both of us across the world. Down countless dead ends. Last year, just before your father died, he received some new information that he passed on to Georg. Finally, tonight, I received some news that I believe is accurate. I have reason to believe that after all this time, we might have found your missing sister. 
Did Georg work with someone else to follow up on the information received just before Pa Salt died? From who was the email that he had received an hour ago, and what was in it?!
