Anna Pavlova and Pa Salt

Pa Salt a.k.a the 7/8 year old boy in Paris, was staying with Landowski after Izabela finds him in the garden in 1928. We learn that Landowski’s atelier is in Boulogne-Billancourt, which is a suburb between the center of Paris and Versailles.

He plays The Dying Swan on a violin in 1929, which was composed for the Russian Ballerina Anna Pavlova in 1905. Landowski also confirms that he believe the boy is either Polish or Russian, as many ended up there after WW1 and The Russian Revolution.

I first wondered if Anna Pavlova could have been his mother, but when researching her, it is said that she did not have any children. She did, however, do a lot of charity for Russian orphans after WW1, including starting an orphanage in St. Cloud, just outside of Paris in 1920.

St Cloud is located next to Boulogne-Billancourt, where Pa Salt was found only 8 years later!
